West Siang dist worst in road connectivity: Rijiju

 

AALO | Sept 03 | Reflecting  development-infrastructure equation, Union MoS (Home Affairs) Kiren Rijuju declared West Siang district to be the worst in road convexity.

Rijiju, on a recent whirlwind tour to Beye Ngomdir, Ngomdir, Doji Jeli, Eyi and Logum Jini villages of  the district gathered firsthand experience on road condition.

In series of meetings with department concerned,  he said the district has very poor in road connectivity though the Centre has released 2nd installment of PMGSY fund for 7-km Ngomdir-Beye for developing at black topped road.

He assured to place additional fund during this fiscal for widening and other necessary works for road links. He directed agency concerned to prepare DPR for alternate route link from Piri Sago to Ngomdir.

Responding to a memorandums submitted by  villages, he assured to sanction fund for a community dere at Beye Ngomdir during current fiscal and look into possibilities for a multipurpose club for Ngomdir village.

Strengthening of  Doji Jeli village UPS school building and three unit teachers’ quarter during current fiscal, school building at Eyi and renovation of Logum Jini village hanging bridge were also assured by him to consider.

He laid foundation stone of Mother Vision De-Addiction-cum-rehabilitation centre at Hikargumin, Aalo on Saturday, visited general hospital, flagged off an ambulance and inaugurated x-ray machine & dental x-ray machine, supplied under CSR scheme.

Accompanied by West Siang DC, ZPC and HoDs, he handed over semi auto analyser, autoclaves and colordropler sonographer machines to the hospital. (DIPRO)
